Sorry no new registrations will be done a half hour before closing.

If you currently have a chickadee license plate, for the month of April 2025, we will only be able to complete re-registrations that expire on or before April 30, 2025. This is due to the issuance of the new Maine Tree, or no tree license plates we will be issuing starting May 1, 2025.

* This does not affect any new registrations we will still be processing them as we always have.

If you have any questions, please contact us at the town office.

Whats new!

Due to rising costs, the Transfer Station will no longer be accepting brush or waste oil.
2025 Dog Licenses are now past due and a $25.00 late fee will be assessed this does not include puppies or dogs being registered in Chesterville for the first time.    The Maine Department of Animal Welfare has created a new reporting system for Municipalities to enter dog registrations into. When you come to register your dog's please remember to bring an updated rabies certificate with you. If you have any questions, please call Missy or Katlin at the town office.
The Town Office will not be processing new registrations any less than 30 minutes prior to closing.

On Wednesday April 16th members of the Chesterville Board of Selectman will be attending a public meeting workshop from 6-8pm at the hospital in Farmington.  As there is a possibility of more than 3 of our board members attending this could cause a quorum.  This meeting is not to conduct town business.  It is training purposes only.
